Installing Office 2000 Web Components

I tried installing only the Office 2000 Web Components on a machine with
Office 97. I did this because even though i want to make use of a Pivot
Table contol in a browser, i still want to retain Office 97. The problem is
that installing the OWC uninstalled Office 97. Does anyone know a way around
this?
