Sql Profiler Duration is null; any idea why?

Post by hanha.. » Sun, 24 Dec 2000 01:03:22

Hi, I'm doing a SQL Profiler trace for long running queries (>20000ms),
but a majority of the rows returned have a blank/null duration (which I
guess is interpreted as > 20000?)

Any idea if this is just a problem with Profiler, or if I'm doing
something wrong?

btw, when this happens, start time is also blank, so I can't calculate
it manually.

1. Puzzler: CPU time < SQL Profiler Profiler duration

Our system is just way too slow for one of our customers, but we can't
figure out why. Does anyone know why we are getting an abnormally-long
duration time in SQL Profiler (20 seconds) compared with the CPU time
(0.0013 seconds)?
SQL Server 2000 is running over a T1.

Thanks.
