Book for Sybase programmers?

Post by Tangue » Mon, 29 Jul 1996 04:00:00

I'm an experienced Sybase/unix programmer who will shortly
be needing to create a database on an NT platform using sqlserver 6.5.
I'm interested in quickly picking up the tools & techniques for
doing so in the sqlserver environment, but don't need to learn
about T-SQL or how to learn sql-server from scratch.  Can
someone recommend a good book for that purpose, preferably one which
requires a minimum of wading through for an experienced Sybase user?

Thanks!

Recently I started using a book from the QUE company entitled Using
MicroSoft SQL Server 6.5.   This book talks about many aspects of the
DataBase and also the NT system.

Not really.  Best I've seen is SQL Server 6 Unleashed, but its short
on the NT side.  Sorry.
