Martin,
You should have a dasetup.log file in the winnt directory. This will give
you a clue as to what is happening.

| We have a SQL SERVER running on site, I have tried to
| install only the client tools to connect to the server
| using the Both the Enterprise and development edition
| Cd's. But everytime it fails on MDAC installation.

| I run a windows 2000 machine and may have MDAC 2.5 or 2.6
| running on my machine. I have tried installing only MDAC
| 2.6 on my machine but this rolls back towards the end of
| the installation.
