This error comes up when I try to execute a package as a step wethin DTS:

DTSRun:  Loading...      Error:  -2147221499 (80040005); Provider Error:  0
(0)      Error string:  Code execution exception:  
EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION      Error source:  Microsoft Data Transformation
Services (DTS) Package      Help file:  sqldts.hlp      Help context:  713.  
Process Exit Code 1.  The step failed.

Someone with a solution, because right now I spent 4 days on it. Enough is enough.

Re-installed nt 4.0 sp6a / sql 7.0 sp3; problem solved. I had / saw no other
opportunitie to solve the problem
