16-bit odbc for SQL Server 7.0

I need to connect Access 2.0 front end to SQL 7 data base.  There is a
16-bit odbc package on the SQL disk, but I have been unable to install it
and replace the 32-bit driver.

1. 16-bit ODBC to SQL Server 7.0

Does Microsoft support 16-bit ODBC access through their driver 2.65.0252 to
SQL Server 7.0?  We are currently testing a 16-bit application on SQL Server
7.0 through their ODBC driver and the testing has been proceeding well.  Is
their any concern using this driver?
