Error: 17832 Unable to read login packet(s)

We are running SQL Server 6.5.  There are 17832 error messages in the error
log file and it happens  almost every minute. SQL Server help file doesn't
give much info about how to trace and solve this problem.

Could you anyone direct me how to solve/find this problem?

1. Error 17832 - Unable to read login packets(s).

Our installation of SQL Server 6.5 reports this message several times a
day. We are using NT 3.51. On average there are about 6 users and 30
connections to the SQL Server. I'd value any light you can shed on this.
