LInked Server - (informix - Sql Server )

Post by mercant » Sun, 29 Apr 2001 00:05:50

Hi everyone,

I created an ODBC to connect to an Informix database. The ODBC is correct
because in MSAccess I can see the Informix tables.
During the creation of the Linked Server in SQL Server, I pointed the Source
to the ODBC that I created, but I didn't succeed. I got an error complaining
about it couldn't find the Informix driver or the source.
Has anybody ever created a linked Server between the SQL Server (7 or 2000)
and Informix?

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

 We have the driver version:

 - Driver ODBC Informix 2.80 32 bit

 - Intersolv 3.10 32 bit Informix 9

But do not start the linked server.

Do you think it is the correct driver version?

Best Regards,

Marcio

1. link server from Oracle to SQL server occurs blocking on SQL server

Hi,

Our problem is:

Select query sent from Oracle link to SQL server is blocking other processes
accessing tempdb on SQL server. (This link was created on Oracle server side.)
The following is an example select query:

What we can do for now is if the problem occurs we kill that process on the SQL
server side.

We have already opened case to Microsoft support and we didn't get satisfied
answer right now. Do you have some ideas?

Thanks for your help!

Susan
