Locking records in an Access linked SQL database???

Post by Dan William » Wed, 11 Oct 2000 04:00:00

Hi,

Using Microsoft Access 2000, is it possible to lock a record in a form when
it is being edited.
The form should try to update a record from an SQL Server linked table.

I looked at the Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> Default record locking, but
it says that Access can't lock records when you edit data in a linked SQL
database.

Are there any ways to overcome this problem?

Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

Cheers,
