I have two partitions and i want a SQL7.0 install on each partition.  Is this possible ?

You cannot have several instances of SQL7 (or earlier). Multiple (named) instances
were introduced with SQL Server 2000.

2 instances of sql 7.0 can be on the same node...

1. Two Instances, Same box under one oracle home???

What are the ramifications of this configuration if you have a disk farm.
We want to make sure that there are not any files that specifically
reference the /var/opt/oracle/oraInst.loc file for any other reason than
patches or installs.

Thanks
