xpstar.dll info, app hanging

Post by Brian Dor » Sat, 07 Apr 2001 00:56:42

Looking for information about the following DLL.

Name: xpstar.dll
Description: Extended Stored Procedure DLL for SQL Enterprise Manager
Version: 2000.80.194.0

The following error is generated in the Application Log of the Event Viewer:

8128 :
Using 'xpstar.dll' version '2000.80.194'
to execute extended stored procedure 'sp_MSgetversion'.

Any information would be a help. A bug is causing our web application to
totally hang
and the error described above may be totally unrelated. However, the timing
of the error
and our application* was too close to overlook.
Other attempts to solve the "FREEZING" problem have been partially
successful. We've replaced
Remote Scripting calls with XMLHTTP posts. This solved 90% of our problem,
but we are still
occasionally*. The Internet Explorer RunTime error is "The Operation
Timed Out".
After debugging, the only detail we're able to receive is a "Catastrophic
Failure".
Appears to be related to Internet Explorer 5.5.

Thank you.
