How can I to retrieve cubes from dead server?

Post by s_v_e_t_l_a_.. » Thu, 25 Jan 2001 00:16:53

Hi all.

I use to have local Olap Server and NT instance
of it. I had created a lot of cubes on my local
server.
Now, due problems, it is not accessible anymore.
However, all cubes files: data, maps, indexes,
dimension files seem to be OK. My question is how
I can restore view of these cubes through my NT
server. I didnt archive any of them. And I just
cant find the way to let my server know that
cubes exist! Please help me to recover them.

Thanks,

Svetlana

I'd like to know what're the problems that cause you to not access the
cubes. From your description, I'm guessing somehow your repository is not
accessible. Is this correct?

If you have all of the Data files under the Data directory, you should still
be able to query the cubes. Without the repository, you will not be able to
administer them.
