Post by Nitzan » Sat, 19 Jan 2002 06:51:53

I am using ODBC connection (with DSN) from Access2000 to
SQLServer2000.
I have experience Unstable Performance: I checked the same
query twice once it run in 3 sec and after a few houres at
25 sec'. when I refresh the attached tables (By code), the
performance returned to 3 sec.
I also experience once in a while an ODBC connection fail.
I try to use Name Pipes and TCP-IP but I have the same
problems.
Can any body help?

Thanks,
Nitzan

1. Backward compatibility: SQL2000 >>> 7.0

I have SQL2000 running on a WIN2000 Pro.

My WEB hosting only supports SQL 7.0.

1) Can I install SQL 7.0 together with SQL2000 on my local machine?
2) Is it any way to setup a SQL 2000 database to attach it to a SQL 7.0 WEB
server?

If I can/have to install version 7.0 do you know where I can download a
trial version?

Thanks,

Michel
