SQL Server Error 109

SQL Server Error 109

Post by Ryan J Snodgras » Tue, 05 Aug 1997 04:00:00

I am trying to install SQL Server 6.5 on NT 4 as a Primary Backup Domain
controller.  SQL Server runs fine afterwards, I can run queries against
the internal tables, however the SQL Executive service fails to start
due to the 109 error.  I tried setting the user account that SQL
Executive is assigned to allow them to edit the registry.  The account
is also a member of the Administrators group.  I didn't set Log on as a
Service since I couldn't find the option.

Does anyone have an idea how to get SQL Executive working.

Ryan,

Log on as a service is a user right.  In user manager for domains choose user
rights and check the show advanced user rights button.

Ryan,

To find the 'log on as a service' right, you have to check the box in the lower
left hand corner of the rights screen that says 'Show Advanced Rights'.

1. SQL Server Error: 109

I am running the desktop SQL 7.0 sp3.  I was trying to
debug a problem with an application we have on our SQL
Server.  I copied my production data to my local SQL 7.0
desktop.  I ran a few test then I got the error below that
will not allow me to view the data any more.  I open up EM
to see the data but the error will not let me view the
contents of the table.  I can still view all the other
server on my network but I can not access my local testing
server.

I know what this error is but I can not find a solution to
it.  How to I clear and restart the connection?

Full Error is:

Connection failed:
SQLState: '01000'
SQL Server Error: 109
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][Named Pipes]Connection
Transact (GetOverLappedResult()).
Connection failed:
SQLState: '08S01'
SQL Server Error: 4
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][Named Pipes]Connection
Broken.
