Post by MJ » Mon, 08 Oct 2001 12:47:18

Dear All,

I would like to know that whether it's possible to have Secure Connection
with the SQL Server. I am using SQL 7.0 with SP3.
I have some applications that connects to my SQL server using ODBC and ADO.
I want the data to be shared encrypted.

Best Regards,

Mukul

SQL Server 2000 has this capability built-in, but SQL Server 7.0 doesn't
have it.

1. SSL Connection Error

For some unknown reason i cannot connect to my local SQL
Server 2000 machine.  I am getting the following error.

A connection could not be established to <server>
Reason: SSL Security error
ConnectionOpen (SECDoClientHandshake())..
Please verify SQL Server is running and check your SQL
Server
registration properties and try again.

I am running Win2000 Server and am starting to get
frustrated.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
