to connect to a WIN2000 Server running MS SQL2000 Server (Developer): get
the following error "not associated with a trusted sql server connection"

Stu,

A "trusted sql server connection" means that SQL Server is set up for
Windows Authentication only, not Mixed Mode authentication.

If you need to change SQL Server so it accepts Mixed Mode authentication,
start up EM, right-click the server name, choose the Properties option, and
go to the Security tab.

can be cut and pasted into Query Analyzer is appreciated.
