Physical database design

Can anyone recommend a good book or resource on physical database
design.  There are several books on the market that discuss logical
datamodeling.  Often the physical implementation of these models is
quite different due to performance and practicality.

thanks

Can anyone recommend books or FAQs discussing the physical design of HP-UX
based Sybase databases i.e. raw partitions vs. UNIX files, splitting tx.
logs/databases/tables across multiple spindles, OS mirroring vs. Sybase
mirror etc.?
