You can't do a backup in 6.5 and restore it in 7.0 (the structures are
different).
Use the upgrade wizard that comes with 7.0 to upgrade your 6.5 databases.

1. Transferring Indexes from SQL6.5 to 7.0
I am testing migration from SQL 6.5 to SQL 7.0 and have noticed that no
matter how I do the transfer / upgrade of tables, the indexes are not
created in the new SQL 7.0 table. Is there some trick that I am missing? Is
ther a tool that can copy over indexes automatically or am I up for a whole
lot of manual work on my SQL 7.0 server?
