Can't find the log files when upgrading from 7 to 2000

Post by Simon Brya » Thu, 19 Oct 2000 04:00:00

Hi all,

Can anyone help? We're trying to upgrade a SQL 7.0 server to SQL 2000 and
the upgrade software doesn't recognise the fact that our databases
(specifically the master) have their log files on a different drive array to
the data files (the error in the event log states that SQL 2000 can't find
the log file - it's looking in the data drive).

Anyone got any ideas (without first moving all the log files into the data
drive :-) )

Thanks, Simon.

Simon - it does sound like a bug!  Moving them is the only thing that springs
to mind.

 Simon,

Nothing else springs to mind.  I would call it in to MS PSS.
