I'm having a problem installing SQLServer 6.5 with Windows NT 4.0.
I logon to the server as the admin user. When I run SQLServer setup it
asks for Name, Company Name, etc. When I click on Continue to accept
these I get the following message :
"Setup does not have access to the SQLServer Registry key. You must be
logged in to Windows NT as a valid system administrator of SQLServer in
order to access this key. This permsision defaults to the local
Administrators group and can be changed using SQLSecurity Manager."
SQLServer has never been installed on this server before.
Does this look familiar to anyone ?
Any ideas greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Noreen Murray.
