Does anyone have any idea how I would go about implementing a WWW type search on
a SQL server database?
I need users to be able to enter words to search for and have it return results
ranked according to the closest match.
Any ideas?

I want to developp a seach engine over SQL server or Oracle database.
The search criteria must be made on text value type.
What is this fulltext or phonetic metohd ?
How can I use it to solve my problem ?
