might seem a dumb question but why not use JDBC ?
This is what it was designed for.
I am attempting to write a simple Java program to access a SQL Server 7
database using JAVA.
I receive the following SQLException when I try to connect to the database
using a currently working
ODBC data source:
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver]Invalid cursor state
I am using the following code:
Connection con = null;
Statement stmt = null;
ResultSet rs = null;
// Load (and therefore register) the Oracle Driver
/* Class.forName("sun.jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver"); */
System.out.println("Loaded & Registered driver");
// Get a Connection to the database
// the rest of the java code follows.......
I receive the exception if I use either the Sun or Microsoft jdbc drivers.
Could anyone point out to me when I need to look to resolve this problem ??
