Migration: From 6.5 -> 2000

Hi all,
I am upgrading my aging 6.5 SQL server to SQL2000 Server. Before I do that,
I need to clear some of my uncertainty(s).
First, I have many triggers/stored procedures/views in my exisitng 6.5
server, after the migration, will they be working properly??? (Cause I heard
that SQL2000 doesn't support some of the stored procedures).
Second, I am installing the SQL2K Server on a new (different) machine, is
there any difference on upgrading the same machine and start a whole new
server?
Many Thanks,

Kenny

I can only speak for the script/ bcp method of upgrading this scenario. All
the triggers/ stored procs continued to work for me when I have done it. I
chose that method of upgrading because Ive seen too many posts in here about
problems with the Wizard.

Migration: From 6.5 -> 2000

Dear Kenny,

Though SQL Server2000 removes or not supports some of the store procedures,
SQL Server 2000 is compatible with SQL Server version 6.5 in many respects.
Most product functionality of SQL Server version 6.5 remains in SQL Server
2000. Most applications for SQL Server 6.5 work unchanged after the
database server is upgraded to SQL Server 2000 by the SQL Server Upgrade
Wizard.

Please refer to the SQL Server online books about the topic 'SQL Server
2000 and SQL Server version 6.5' and 'SQL Server Backward Compatibility
Details' for more information.

In addition, if you are upgrading your existing SQL Server 6.5 server to a
different computer that is running SQL Server 2000, both computers should
be configured to use a domain user name and password for the MSSQLServer
service. Please refer to 'How To Upgrade from SQL Server 6.5' for the
details.

Sincerely,

1. Migration SQL 6.5 ->2000 Server

When I proceed to the migration of my Databases 6.5 to
2000 with the upgrade wizard, the wizard display me the
following warning before upgrading :

=============================================
The following syscomments entries are invalid on your 6.5
SQL Server. It is recommended that you fix these problems
before you continue.
