Want a free Borland C++ compiler?

In these newsgroups I frequently see posts from impecunious souls who need a
C++ compiler but can't afford it.

I just thought I'd mention that the UK magazine PC Plus (August 1997, CDROM
edition) are giving away Borland C++ V4.5.  It doesn't have the paper manuals,
and the "licence restricts distribution of applications" (not sure how).  But
otherwise the whole program including online help and examples seems to be
there.

BTW, I have no connection with PC Plus and I use VC++.  Just thought I'd
mention this for the benefit of those who might find it useful.
