Very Computer

The console simply reports that it is starting, but then immediately ends,
no errors etc. And then why I try to connect with the mysql client it gives
the 2002 socket error. Any ideas? Any permissions to check?

Check host_name.err file in the MySQL data dir. Is there any causes of
failed start?

have a look at the ownership of the location of the installed_db, should be
mysql.daemon and mysql.mysql on some other OS's, that might be the main
problem i think.

And in the .err log I get:

mysql started
/usr/libexec/mysqld: Can't find file: './mysql/host.frm' (errno: 13)
mysql ended

Still trying to figure out what happened... I will have to wipe the drive
soon and start from scratch and I am trying to avoid that...!
