Hi everyone,
A friend of mine has installed an EPSON STYLUS 3000 under Windows 95 (with
the drivers included with the printer) and everything worked fine. He then
installed it under Windows NT4 and now complains that he does not get the
status of the ink cartridges (ink level), when under Windows 95 he still
gets it. We contacted EPSON and they suggested that under Windows NT, the
printer port would have to be changed (on the machine's setup) to ECP mode,
in order to have this information. We have done this but nothing changed,
i.e. we still can't get the ink cartridges status to work.
Question: Is this a limitation of the Windows NT4 driver, or is there a
"trick" to it? Anyone had this experience before? Any help would be
appreciated...
TIA
