Don't be so quick to dismiss those Video Cards as a possible culprit. I have found
that they can crash browsers, cause GPFs on programs, and much more. I suggest
that you check for the latest driver version update available. On one problematic
system with Creative Lab nVidia 4400 Velocity I installed the RIVA TNT and man has
this driver been a one pill cure-all for several Creative card conflicts on
various other systems. Are you by chance using a Gateway computer?
