Opening a Canon BJC-210

Post by J La » Sat, 08 Jun 2002 12:28:26

I own a Canon BJC-210, and there's something jammed down into the paper
feed area, blocking its path.  If I could only pop open the printer
somehow and remove the offending piece of crud (a chunk of poster
stick-tack, I believe), all would be well.

However, the printer is one of those snap-together plastic jobs, with
nary a*to be found.  Aside from me taking a hacksaw to the thing,
is there an easy way to pop off a panel so I can get inside the thing?

Thanks,

Jason

Put a piece of half 4A size paper or thin cardboard into the feed tray and run print.
Let the printer roller turns a number of times and hope that stauff will dislodge and roll out.
You could write to Canon for assistance.

Turn the printer upside down. There are 2 slots on either side insert a
small flat*driver and move outwards this will unclip the sides. unclip
the back by inserting the screwdriver under the edge of the rear towards the
corner the case should then lift off.

1. Canon BJC-210 Cleaning Error

I am trying install an old printer on an old computer.  What should have
been a piece of cake has turned into a quagmire.  The printer is a Canon
BJC-210.  The error I am getting is 'Print Position of Cleaning Fault/ (10
beeps).  What can be done to reset the cleaning mechanism?  Be mindful that
I have pieced this together as a charity case, so spending money my last
option.

Thanks in advance
