1. Power consumption behavior of redundant power supply ?

Hi

I'm wondering if someone did checked the power used by redundant power
supplies ? especially :

- is the consumption symetric or asymetric ?
- what is the impact of a power supply failure on the second PS power
consumption ?

trying to figure out the best way to connect our equipments to the UPS
systems (shall we or not connect one PS to the UPS and the other
directly to the non-UPS power line ?)

Especially interested by the Cat 5500 case.
