Cisco IOS for CAT6000 Supervisor

Cisco IOS for CAT6000 Supervisor

Post by ro.. » Thu, 11 May 2000 04:00:00

Greetings,

I didn't know this till now, but it appears that you can run Cisco's IOS on
the Supervisor Module in the CAT6000 (6509) instead of running the "standard"
operating system for the Sup Module (5.x.CSX).

I was wondering if anyone was running the IOS on the Sup Module? Had any
problems? Other info?

Otherwise, I am planning on running 5.4.2-CSX on the Sup Module and IOS
12.1(1)E on the MSFC.

P.S.> If you could CC: me on any replies would be appreciated...

Many thanks,

Ron Pugh

Cisco IOS for CAT6000 Supervisor

Hi,

I do not run that because there are some features not supported in the
IOS-Version.

See the release notes for that (specifically, VMPS is not working)
