Multiple "default" Gateways--Windows 95

It just happens that toeay I got a call from one of the PC field-wizards
called to ask if I had blocked a network--symptoms sounded like a bad
default gateway.

Later conversation indicates that the default for the network involved
was the seventh for a Windows 95 "notebook"--the other 6 work just fine.
