Help on system password for CISCO 765 ROUTER help help

Hello,
does anybody now how to reset the system password
on a cisco 765 router.
I dont have the installed password for it
who can help
is there a reset bios or so??
In connection with a rs232 cable the only thing i get
is login system and password??!!!!

cisco knows.

normally spoken, you shouldn't have forgotten it in the first place; if it's
possible the manual would tell. however, there _is_ a _valid reason_ to
protect routers.

are you sure you may configure the thing ?

WOW... true... shouldn't have forgotten the passwd... but
there is documented procedure for passwd recovery in the
install book.. (well, for the 2500 and up anyway).

It's pretty secure considering you can only do this from
the console.. so someone would need physical access anyway.
(at that point, I'd just take the whole router :-)

en hier is de reply die hij weer terug emailde :

so what ? zo moeilijk is dat niet. mijn router had ik in en kwartiertje up,.
en nee, ik vergeet geen passwords nee.

verder staat netjes in mijn routyer's docs hoe je kunt recoveren _en_ hoe je
backups maakt van de config. maw. heel makkelijk om de hele bende zo opnieuw
neer te zetten. fact is dat de meesten die roepen om root passwords,
"vergeten" router passwords etc, helemaal niet aan de spullen _mogen_
zitten.

en nauwelijks interessant. twee maal het zelfde. eenmaal normaal en een maal
html. tssk.

check je config eerst maar voordat je antwoordt.
