Phil, whe have expienced the same problems w/ a 7505 & the PA-8T
module.  You need a special ISP version of the IOS to see the 8 T1
port adapter I belive it's v11.1(19.1)CE.0614

IOS does not see VIP-20 PA-8T Modules

We have had the same problems on a 7505 w/ the PA-8T card.  I was
solved by running a special ISP version of the IOS:

Cisco Internetwork Operating System Software
IOS (tm) GS Software (RSP-JV-M), ISP Version 11.1(19.1)CE.0614
[isp-geeks 105]
MFIB_branch Synced to mainline version: 11.1(19.1)CC

Hope this helps!

1. IOS does not see VIP-20 PA-8T module

I've got a PA-8T (8xserial) and a Fast-Ethernet PA installed in a
VIP-20 on a 7513, running 11.2(2). The problem: IOS refuses to
recognise the existence of the PA-8T module, though it does recognise
the Fast-Ethernet PA. By 'refuses to recognise' I mean any 'show...'
command you can imagine does not display any information pertaining to
the PA-8T.

I don't think it is a broken hardware, because I have the same problem
with two 7513s, two VIPs and two PA-8Ts

Am I missing something, or is this a bug?

Phil
