Hello,

Here is the syntax for the ICCs I was trying to compute.  After this
runs I get a catastrophic error and SPSS cannot recover.  The first time
I ran it I got the first three ICCs to output.  Can anyone see a
problem?

 I dont't know what causes your problem. But why for heavens sake are you
doing this stuff without a macro?

Forgive me for my ignorance, but what is a macro?  I have even tried to
run my ICCs directly from windows and not syntax and the same error
occurs.

Well,
  I have no idea as to why the process fails
(I have never seen that particular error message).
However,  here is a Macro:  You can stuff as many
variables as you please into the VARS list .
I surmise that either your 1. data file is corrupt or
2. SPSS installation is funky, or
3.  Your hard disk or
4. the full moon, or ...?
Have you tried running your stuff on another machine
to verify 2..3 ? . For further illumination concerning Macros
see DEFINE !ENDDEFINE and Appendix D in the Syntax
Reference Guide located on your CD ROM.

1. Assertion Failure - help!

Currently using VO 2.0b-4 and occaisionally getting a message box stating:

Assertion failed (Message box caption)
Situation:
FILE:
LINE:                1206

After which my application pretty well hangs.  The source of it has me
totally mystified because it appears almost randomly.  Once identifying a
process that causes the problem to occur, running the same process will
consistently cause the message box to appear, however, run the app through
the debugger & it won't appear.  Recompile with diagnostic messages to try &
narrow it down & it won't appear.  Recompile the app again & won't appear in
the same place but it will turn up somewhere else.
The function that creates the message box seems to be located in
CAVORT20.dll but it seems to be called from somewhere deep in the internals
of the VO run-time & I can't for the life of me track what triggers it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
