Hello,

I have read some adverti*t about a new Toshiba 3.3-speed CD-ROM.
It is named XM 5201B. It is relatively inexpensive, it costs about
US-$250 (=400 DM Germany). Does anyone know more about it ? Does
it support all features (photo-CD, etc.) ? Has anyone bought it, yet ?

I bought it, and I paid DM 249,- for it, which is somewhat about $160.

Advantages over the new Toshiba 3501:
- Price (DM 200 cheaper)
- no Caddy's. Much more comfortable to handle.
- Perfect CD-DA reading at 3,5x speed.
- Perfect RAW sector reading.

Of course it supports multi-session, Photo-CD etc.

Are you saying that the 3501 doesn't support these?  Is this true? I don't
think so.  Am I wrong?
