I'm getting this error message:

"Operation Generic Error Code 240-00-af-00"

when attempting to write a TDK CD-R. I've tried several discs but can't get
beyond this error. I've written lots of disks with my Philips CDD2000 with
few problems. I'm using Easy-CD Pro 95 2.11b.

Adaptec's web site documents the error as a power calibration problem
indicating a problem with the media or the drive.

Has anyone else seen this problem before. Is it likely to be a media or
hardware problem. Any suggestions.

hmm thinks back.. is that the one where you can run a test but as soon
as you start the write the dialog changes to closing session then
throws up the error BUT if yo check the CD its still totally blank?

Me I think.. first reared its head with TDK's but trying other brands
found same problem.. eventually sent drive back (sony 926s rev 1.1a)
and got a replacement rev 1.1f burned every disk I've thrown at it
since..
