I have four systems using lite-on ltr-52246S drives. So far we've had nothing
but good experiences with these drives. Using them with Nero 5.5.9.13 on xp
pro sp-1.latest with zero problems, and there's plenty of "cloning"
applications that specifically support the lite-on 52x24x52 as well...

Good stuff, and cheap, too!

1. 52-speed changes to 24-speed cdrom-drive ?!?!?

Hi!

I have a Cyberdrive 52-speed cd-rom for about 2 years now.

From one day to the other every programm (using Win98,WinNT, LINUX, )
shows that the maximum speed of this drive is only 24!!!!

The drive doesn't wind up any more.

CD-R Diagnostics shows the following lines:
(WHAT could have happened? - Support from Cyberdrive says, that
the Firmware is not flashable, so it must be a softwareproblem
but it seems to be definite a Firmwareproblem - Is there a program to
change these Firmwaresettings????)

The following information was collected by CD Diagnostic
