What's SSH? If it does something good, I want it as well. :-)))

It is all the rage among system administrators. It is sort of like telnet
with authentication. Allows for a remote log in to system. Data is
encrypted both ways. It is necessary for a secure log in and communication
between a client and host.

I believe that NCSA (remember Mosiac) has a version available for most
platforms. If they do not provide the source code. I am sure there are
several available under GNU liscence. Check with your local "geek".

In the first release of Mac OS X. There was a bug that prevented SSH from
working.  While I found it a bit annoying that I had to now log on to my
computer, huge numbers were aghast at the lack of SSH. A bug fix has been
released. Although I am not positive I beleive that it stands for "Secure
SHell".

Secure SHell.  Like telnet or rlogin, only encrypted.  Would be very
neat to have on NDO.
