Antic & Analog Type-Ins?

Antic & Analog Type-Ins?

Post by Mindfiel » Sat, 01 Jan 2000 04:00:00

Would anyone happen to know of a site that carries all the classic
Antic and Analog type-ins from the mags?  There are some great
classics I'd like to get my hands on -- mostly Antic stuff, but also
some of the better Analog ones as well.  Thanks!

Goto http://www.newbreedsoftware.com/xlsearch/ and do a search :)
Typing Analog yields 126 matches.
Antic yields 1337 matches.

you better check out www.atarimagazines.com for Antic, I think they are
up to 50% of the issues on-line!
Analog can be found at http://www.*roach.com/analog/default.htm.

Hey, I forgot about the Digital Antic Project!  Looks like it's coming
along better than the last time I checked (which was over a year ago)
I was mainly looking to play a few old favourites -- Uncle Henry's
Nuclear Waste Dump (which I was doing a remake of on the ST before I
abandoned ship), Rebound, Biffdrop, etc... especially the JD Casten
games.  He did some of the best Antic type-ins... I sat for hours
plugging away at those.  :-)

As for the Analog site -- nostalgic, but no type-ins.  (Mind you, I'm
not sure if they had type-ins in those early issues; I joined the
8-bit crowd around '85, and so started getting mags around then, too)

Still, I'm going to monitor these from time to time... see how they're
coming along.

Check out the link at http://sunsite.unc.edu/kevina/atari/mag.  You'll
find most, if not all, of the type-in software for both magazines
available there.
