I presume 213b is the binaries, 213s is the source ?

What else is in 213b besides just the awk program ? (tons of examples and a
manual ... I hope??) that makes it 175K????

gawk213s.zoo contains basically sources. There are really the same
as sources for every other version of gawk.  This program compiles
on ST with gcc "right out of the box" with possible minor tweaks
for other compilers/libraries.

Full gawk documents (this is a quite hefty package) can be found on
many servers with a generic version of gawk.  You need for them either
TeX - for typesetting, or makeinfo/info from texinfo package (also on
a.a.)  for on-line screen viewing/printing on a line printer.

cawf2st.zoo is a re-implementation in C of awf (look in test
subdirectory) which is an "awk formatter for man pages".  Seems
to me a little bit strange thing to do if you can have a full
nroff/groff runnnig on ST and which will do man pages as well.

If you are not in a big hurry - pretty soon there will be a new
release of gawk - 2.14.  I am basically just waiting for a word
from David Trueman than an official release happened.  There
are various improvements and fixes although 2.13 works pretty
well by itself.
