Help with Assembly

Post by i.. » Fri, 22 Jun 1990 13:15:24

A few questions:

               1. When using Assembly, you call a System Routine with TRAP #1
to call an XBIOS routine, you use a TRAP #14.
Are there any other TRAPs that I should know about?

               2. I want to load up a Spectrum or Degas Picture, but I
dont want t use DSLIDE or a Spectrum viewer. I want to
load it up, and the user hits a key, and my program
                  will load up.
               3. How would I go about writing a program that simulates

                                       Jeff Bilger

Just write one that simulates Turing, and change the name parameter.

(sorry; couldn't resist)

GEMDOS calls are trap #1.
BDOS calls are trap #2. (Apparently used internally by the operating system.)
BIOS calls are trap #13.
XBIOS calls are trap #14.

There have been several code examples for displaying images posted to

(Internet FTP only) terminator.cc.umich.edu or wuarchive.wustl.edu.

I dunno... how complicated is Jeff Bilger, anyway? :-)

Trap #2 is used for all AES and VDI calls.

1. Help with assembly graphics wanted.

Hi! I was wondering if anyone is interested in collaborating on some
polygon drawing routines in assembly.

I already have putpixel, horizontal line, and fillscreen functions.

the thing is, they're not that fast. and for now, i use a C polygon
drawer that calls the horizontal line routine.

for those who would gripe about compatability, the final step is a
vro_cpyfrm, which places it into the correct screen area.

anyone interested? I also have a 3D->2D conversion library if that could
be used in "trade".

thanks, just reply via email.
