Mega ST real time clock

Post by Technoid Mutan » Wed, 21 Jul 1999 04:00:00

Help!  I have no utility to set my mega's clock.  It thinks it is 2034.
I have looked around on the net and have found one utility to set it
which does not work.  DATE in MiNT is GNU and documented, but the
documentation is kicking my ass.

Date -s 07201999....

results in 'invalid date'

My linux date --help gives the same docs and I just don't get it.  Help!
please

I used Harlekin to set my time and date.

Any time and date setting program should do it! Have you checked the
batteries!

Thats a good sign that PC users will be p'd at, but anyway, use
Xcontrol, the Atari CPX server, it'l have other uses for you as well.

1. Mega ST Real Time Clocks

What's the accuracy of the real-time clocks that come with Mega STs?
I've noticed that on mine I'm losing a second a day.  Is this within
specs?  The batteries are fresh.

The real-time clock (ZTime) that I had on my old 1040 ST seemed more
accurate than that.

Any comments?

Maybe my computer is way too fast approaching Einsteinien limits in
its calculations. :-)
