cfgmaker incorrect OID / noSuchName

cfgmaker incorrect OID / noSuchName

Check the MRTG Reference, quote:

LoadMIBs
Load the MIB file(s) specified and make its OIDs available as symbolic
names. For better efficiancy, a cache of MIBs is maintained in the WorkDir.

Example:

 LoadMIBs: /dept/net/mibs/netapp.mib,/usr/local/lib/ft100m.mib

And then you are able to use the symbolic name.

Hope this helps

cfgmaker incorrect OID / noSuchName

Post by Mats » Fri, 09 May 2003 04:15:56

Corect this is added into the CFG file, under "OPTIONAL GLOBAL KEYWORDS" as
Htmldir:, Imagedir: and so on:

I haven't seen how you can use the symbolic toghether with cfgmaker. I would
propose that you first create an standard CFG file with CFG maker and then
edit it and add the symbolic OIDs you want to meassure.

You can add the LoadMIB in the cfgmaker with a switch.

Example:
 cfgmaker --global "LoadMIB: /home/tobi.mib"

Otherwise is the LoadMIB placed in the CFG file in the following manner:

Example CFG:
Workdir: /path/to/a/directory
LoadMIBs: /dept/net/mibs/netapp.mib,/usr/local/lib/ft100m.mib

Title[label]: router stats
Pagetop[label]: Statistics for my router
MaxBytes[label]: 12500000

Look in the reference for more information:

If you have any other questions, you'r welcome.
