Help with MRTG monitoring errors

Post by Albert La » Tue, 22 Apr 2003 07:38:52

Hello,
I'm trying to monitor input/output queue drops on an interface that I
know is getting them. I run the above file which gives me no errors
but yet I do not get anything from the graph. The oid's are from the
OLD CISCO MIBS as well as Somex's site.
If I can get this one going I'd like to have all the errors shown in
the "show int" command all in one graph.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks
Albert

try snmpget and snmpwalk to check what is before attempting to graph (and
spending quite a few 5minutes waiting to see what's going on).
snmpget/snmpwalk should be available as part of the net-snmp package.

snmpwalk 10.3.4.5 xxxxxxx .1.a.b.c.d.....

1. Monitoring errors with mrtg

I am using mrtg and would like some help in doing the following.
I would like to configure a single graph that would give me the same
errors that you would see in "sh int" (queue drops, input/output
errors, crc, frame..ect.

I am able to get some of these but would like them all in one graph.

If anyone has done this I would like to hear from you.

Thanks in advance !!
Albert
