Would it be any problem for you to post the error message you get?

Do you have an older version of rrdtool installed? Maybe a rpm?

Hi,

here is the error - message i get:

Software error:

/usr/lib/perl5/5.00503 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.005/i586-linux
/usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.005 .) at /usr/local/httpd/cgi/14all.cgi line
28. BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /usr/local/httpd/cgi/14all.cgi
line 28.

i get the same error - massage for line 27!

in line 27 you find the following:

use RRDs 1.000011;

in line 28 you find the following:

use MRTG_lib "2.090006";

i`m using rrdtool-1.0.28, suse7.0 and mrtg-2.9.4!
do you have a solution?

thx

perl cannot find libraries needed by 14all. 14all needs the perl modules

Quote:> use RRDs 1.000011;

The first is from rrdtool. Either change 14all to include a path to the
RRDs perl module or install rrdtool with the command

  "make site-perl-install"

(which will install the perl module in the "site_perl" tree of your perl
installation; you might need to be root to do this)

MRTG_lib comes with mrtg-2.9.4. You have to edit 14all.cgi line 13 which
looks like

   use lib qw(/usr/local/mrtg290/lib/mrtg2);

Change it to point to the directory where the file MRTG_lib.pm is
installed. If you installed mrtg in "/usr/local/mrtg" this will be
"/usr/local/mrtg/lib/mrtg2" (change the part between the braces).

thx rainer, for your fast reply!

i`ve made the chances and it works. but now i have to run the log2rrd.pl
- script and this doesn`t work! do you know the right term, i have to
use, to run the script? in the readme you can find the following howto:

log2rrd.pl {mrtg logfile} {destination directory}

i get following error-message:

log2rrd.pl command not found

i have perl installed and i was in the right directory(...where the
script is)

can you help me the second time?

thx discostu

mrtg-2.9.4 includes the functionality of log2rrd. Just add the line

  Logformat: rrdtool

to your mrtg config file and mrtg will convert your log files to rrd
files the next time you run mrtg. mrtg needs the program 'rrdtool' for
this so you might need to add 'Pathadd: /where/rrdtool/is' to the config
file.

mrtg will only convert rrd files if no rrd files exist yet!

1. graphing large values (k/M/T/etc) with 14all.cgi

Environment:
    RH7.3 + stock net-snmp (latest rh patch releases)
     mrtg-2.9.29.tar.gz
    14all-1.1p25.tar.gz
     rrdtool-1.0.41.tar.gz

mrtg is running in 'rrdtool' mode

Appended to this message is the mrtg.cfg extract which I am using to graph
the available space versus size of my '/' partition.

The snmp gets are retrieving the right information (disk size / availability
in megabytes).

The values of the preview screen are ok (the right number of Gbs) whilst the
5min/weekly/monthly/yearly graphs  give the X-axis in megabytes.  I would
like to 'coerce' 14all.cgi into displaying 'G' instead of 'k' and 'M'
instead of nothing as I trying to graph megabytes not bytes (I am already
extracting the values in megabytes).

I have tried toying with the kMG[target] variable but it seems to be ignored
completely!!!

Any help welcome!!!!
