95% of highest numbers

Hi there

I have to get few data from our router and since we have MRTG
running already I was thinking it could be done with MRTG. I
would need to get data of link usage so that 5% of highest values
would be cut off and line would be then at maximum value. It would
of course also help if there could be written how much this value
is anyway, since with STM-1 link you can't really see if line is
at 100Mbps or 105Mbps (and money difference between those two is
quite big :)
In case if I wasn't clear enough... I have for example data like this

Time | Value
------------
 1   |  50
 2   |  100
 3   |  60
 4   |  80
...  | ...
100  |  95

Now I would get rid of 5 highest values (for example time: 2 value: 100
etc.)
and make line then at next highest (6th highest) value.
And one more thing. This thing would be for one month (every month
would be different value), since bills would go out on end of month.

If anyone would have idea how to do this I would really appreciate it.

I believe the correct term is "95th percentile" - do a search for that and
you will find lots of utilities/scripts that will do this for you, using
mrtg and others. Good luck!

Thanks Bjorn! First hit in Google when searching for "95th percentile"
solved my problem.
