Advise on PRI config between a CSE-1000 and Siemen Hicom 300 using Qsig on TIE lines

Post by Areshie » Mon, 25 Nov 2002 01:33:47

The situation is as such, users would like to see name display on their sets
when dialing from Nortel to Siemen or vice-versa.  I have a PRI TIE line set
up using QSIG ESGF as the IFC on the D-Channel as well as the route and the
RCAP is set to COLP, NDI, DV1I.  I'm not getting any name dispaly, traces on
the Siemen shows its sending names but the Nortel PBX is not seeing it.
I've tried to use other IFC on the D-Channel, but then the D-Channel won't
come up.  I was told the Siemen has to use ESGF.

Has anyone else done something similar and have it working, if so please
advise.  Any help or pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
PFranklin

Are you using T1 or E1, and also unless you are running R25.40 with specific
patches and "Loadware" patches, this will not work. CPND as well as much
more were seriously broken in R25, and require the proper patches.

I'm on a CSE-1000 (Succession) PBX, release 2.x.  I have all the standard
loadware patches that came with the system installed.  As for E1 or T1, I'm
not sure...kind of new at this, how can you tell?

Thanks

Well for E1 you have 30 channels, T1 has 24. You are going to have to
include a list of patches. There have been some signifigant fixes to Q.Sig.

1. Siemens Hicom 300 E and Siemens Hicom 300 H

I am interested in technical information on the Siemens PBX Hicom 300
E and especially on Siemens PBX 300 H. Although these products are not
currently being produced for larger-scale domestic use, I imagine
there is a certain amout of information available here. I would really
appreciate any help on this topic.

Is it possible for me to merge the Hicom 300 E module and card to
Hicom 300 H rack ?
